Uttarakhand Public service commission had invited applicants for the various vacancies under state provincial civil services. The candidates were required to apply through the application form which was available online on the official website of the UKPSC. The application process for the posts began on 08/10/2016. The candidates were required to apply before 25/10/2016. The payment of application fee was also to be done before 28/10/2016. The last date to pay the fee offline was 27/10.2016. The vacant posts were Deputy collector, Police Sub inspector, District commandant home guard, Jail superintendent, assistant Commissioner, Finance officer, editor, assistant registrar, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, assistant town planner, Commercial Tax officer, district saving officer, District information officer, feature writer, and district minority welfare officer.
The exam for the posts was held on 29/01/2017. Admit card for which was available from 09/01/2017. The candidates were required to have a bachelor degree in any stream with the required subject wherever necessary to fill the posts. All eligibility details were mentioned in the notification issued on the website. The candidates were required to have the age between 21 years to 42 years to be eligible for the posts. The fee for the General and OBC candidates was 150/-. For other state candidates also the fee was same. For SC, ST and PH candidates the exam fee was 60/-.
How to check UKPSC Mains Results 2016?
Candidates waiting for their results can now check their results on the official website of the UKPSC. Following is the procedure to check results-
- Candidates will need to visit the official website of the UKPSC http://www.ukpsc.gov.in/ to check their results.
- After opening the site, they would need to login into the website using the registration number and password.
- After logging in, candidates would be able to view their results.
